Struggling with your Credit Card Debts can leave you tired, frustrated and deeper in debt than you were to start with. If you have admitted to yourself that you are in debt then you are ready to start to move yourself into a more beneficial situation. This is where credit card debt negotiation comes into play.

The first thing you need to do is contact your credit card company, if you have been struggling with payments then they will probably be contacting you on a regular basis but do not wait for them to call you get on the phone and talk to them first. Many people are worried that when they call they will be told that there is no hope. This is not true it is within the Credit companies best interest to help you out of debt and put you in a better financial situation, that way they can try and get you to spend more on your card (Which you are not going to do once you are out of debt are you?).

When you call them tell them your situation and ask them what they can do for you, if they say nothing then you need to move onto the next stage which is to get credit counseling. A credit counselor will assist you in your credit card debt negotiation. They will help you create a budget as well as work with creditors to reduce your monthly payments, finance charges and late fees if you have accrued any.

A credit counselor will not only look at your credit card debt negotiation but also allow you to pay them one simple payment for them to distribute between your creditors. There is normally a one off fee but in many cases this is waived.

Do not continue to struggle on with your debts you will only end up deeper in than you are right now, your debts an also have an effect on your health and relationships. Credit Card Debt Negotiation is something that you need to do in order to live a more care free life.

By: Steven Turner

Is Your Credit Card A Great Financial Tool Or A Weapon Of Mass Financial Destruction?

A credit card is a great financial tool but sadly its one of those “tools” that can cause a lot of damage too if not used with the utmost care. You might be up to your eyeballs in debt at the moment and wondering how, if ever, you’re going to be able to become debt free. Well this article is going to show you some simple credit card debt consolidation techniques that work.

Jake, a friend of mine described the best thing about having a credit card as it being

“a great way to carry a large amount of money around in a convenient manner.”

…true in some respects and like any other convenience there’s a price to pay.

Credit cards offer ease for you to spend money whenever you want to and like in my friend’s case you usually end up spending too much. Sound familiar? The problem is you’re spending money you don’t have. Because you have an enticing option to payback only the minimum amount each month it’s an option a lot of people are then forced to take because they cannot pay anything more.

The Dark Side Of Credit Cards

You know what the worst part about credit cards is? It’s this. For each balance that still is unpaid at the end of each month you’re adding to your interest and as a direct result, in just a few short months you’ll find yourself overloaded with credit card debts. Jake bought some furniture for around $5,000 and was only making the minimum monthly payment of $50! – This left him with $4,950 that he still owed and while it appeared convenient at the time he was being smacked with interest on the balance…ouch!

There are ways to avoid this problem and the best piece of advice is this … find the best debt or credit card debt consolidation guide you can find and follow the steps as you read them. When you do this you are guaranteed to become debt free in a few months or years.

Stop Paying The Minimum Amount Each Month

Simply paying a minimum amount on your credit card is NOT an option for you. That is the core message of this article and the one thing you should take away from it. We’re just warming up, so be sure to look out for part II of this series titled “Credit Card Debt Consolidation Guide To Help You Legally Get Out Of Debt Fast”

By: 'Bayo Akinola-Odusola

Are you swimming in a deep pool of credit card debt? Do you need to get out of debt and settle your credit card balances once and for all? There are ways to get out of credit card debt and get the relief you need. Here is how to get the credit card debt relief that you have been waiting for.

First, you can try to settle the debts yourself. Usually if you negotiate with your credit card companies they will work with you. The older the debt is the easier it will be to get the debt settled for lower than your balance. Offer to pay 50% of the balance over three to five payments and see what they come back with.

They will give you some options to settle your debt for a cheaper price than what you actually owe. Once they do this in writing you can pick the option that works the best for you and start making the payments to pay it off.

Second, you can hire someone to settle your debts for you. Getting credit card debt relief is pretty easy if you hire a debt service to help you negotiate your debts. They will work with all of your creditors to get you lower payments, interest rates, and fees. This will allow you to pay off your debts faster and get out from under them.

Your last option is a not for profit service that will do the same thing as a normal debt relief agency. The biggest difference is they will not charge you as much because they are not out to make a profit and they will also give you the credit counseling you need to make sure you don’t end up back in debt again. This is a huge advantage to you.

Now you just need to figure out which credit card debt relief option is best for you and get to work. Stick to your plan, cut up your credit cards, and get yourself out of the debts that are causing you so many problems.

By: Gressly Stevens

Everyone eventually gets caught in the credit card debt trap, especially those who are not particularly prudent about keeping tabs on spending or being mindful of credit interest rates. At some point, they are faced with the fact that they will have to undergo credit or bank card debt reduction to help them keep up with other bills. Here are some tips that you can follow to keep card debts low:

Paying bills on time and paying more than the minimum

The best advice to credit card holders is to pay off bills entirely when the bill reaches you. If not, interest charges will pile up the longer you take to pay them. Also, make sure you never get late on a payment or default on a payment. By doing so, you will incur late charges which will just add to your debt.

Watch out for bank debt transfer promos

By availing of a good debt transfer promo that will consolidate your credit or bank card debts and allow you to pay them at a lower interest rate will definitely help your situation. By consolidating your credit card bills you will be able to handle one bill better and keep your head above-water in the debt pool.

Choose low interest rates

If you do a debt transfer, or if you get any loans to pay off your credit card debts, opt for lower interest rates than what you already have on your cards. Lower interest rates will help your debt go down. Stop using your credit cards altogether to prevent further debt from accumulating.

By: David Patullo

Credit cards are instruments that are used when you are carrying very little cash with you. They are also meant for emergencies, such as paying for medicine or hospital bills. Credit cards should be a means to control your spending because each expenditure is reflected on your credit card bill. Unfortunately, these days, owning a credit card means having carte blanche on spending for everyday expenses such as groceries, utility bills, car payments, and even luxury items that have no place in the budget. Over time, these credit card bills add up to an exorbitant amount that you’ll discover you can hardly pay.

Having a credit card means you are availing of one of the worst kinds of credits because credit cards charge very high interest rates. This is especially true if you are in the habit of paying only the minimum amount due on your credit card bill. It is even worse off if you are late in making payments as the penalty rates are higher still. Cutting your credit cards and paying them off completely would be one of the best decisions you can make for your finances.

There are some credit card debt facts that you need to know if you want some debt help management for your growing credit card debt. If you absolutely necessarily require the use of a credit card, pay-off the ones with the highest interest rates and stick to only one credit card that charges a low interest rate. A zero interest card is your best bet. Paying low interest rates on your credit card is the best way to go.

To avoid paying any interest at all, pay your total amount due each month. Paying your bill in full not only gets rid of the lingering worry you will get from the thought of that remaining amount on your balance, it will also ensure that you don’t pay any interest charged for paying the minimum amount, or a portion of the total bill. This interest adds up, you’ll be surprised how much.

To avoid any danger of missing your due date, pay off your bill way before it falls due. The penalties charged for late payment are even more exorbitant compared to the interest charged for paying less than the total amount that is due.

Credit cards should be helpful when it comes to managing our personal finances. Unfortunately though, many of us end up spending beyond our means and have to come up with a way to settle the debts we’ve built up.

Understanding how a credit card works is a key to working out the best way to reduce your debts. Every month you have to pay interest on the amount of money you owe. This is like the fee you have to pay for the privilege of using a credit card. Unfortunately though, if you can’t make repayments then the amount you owe will grow each month. Interest rates vary depending on your provider and the kind of credit card you have. The key to settling your credit card debt is to reduce the amount of interest you pay each month. Fortunately, there are a number of things you can do to achieve this.

A balance transfer is where you take the debt you have on one credit card and use another credit card to pay it off. This might not sound very clever but you can get credit cards that offer 0% on balance transfers. This means that when you transfer your debt to the new card, you don’t have to pay any interest at all on the money you owe for a long period of time. When you’ve done this, you know that your debt won’t grow each month no matter how small the repayments are that you make.

If you’ve built up debt on a number of credit cards and are getting crippled by the interest and penalties for late payments, then a debt consolidation loan might be the answer. This is similar to a balance transfer in that you take on another agreement (this time a loan) in order to settle your credit card debts. You’ll still have to pay interest but it’s likely to be significantly less than your current amount.

For insurmountable credit card debt that you’re never going to be able to pay, you’ll need more severe credit card debt settlement help. Consult your bank, your creditors and if needs be a debt management company. Make sure you do your research into the amount of money you actually owe. That way you have the information you need to explain your problems to skilled professionals.

Credit card debt is incredibly serious and needs to be dealt with swiftly to avoid your problems spiralling out of control. Taking decisive action is the best form of debt help advice anyone can give you.

By: Thomas Baugh

If you find yourself with credit card debt, then it can be a stressful time. It doesn’t matter how large this debt is, you have to consider how you’re going to get rid of it which can make for a stressful existence at times.

The first thing to remember is that credit card debt is incredibly common and more often than not is nothing to worry about. However, the fact remains that you must do something to get rid of it and if you bury your head in the clouds things can get much worse.

Like anything to do with your finances, sit down with a pen, a paper and a calculator. Work out your monthly outgoings against what you’re bringing in. If you can pay off your debt in a few months by only making a few cutbacks then do just that. You might find that your margins are much thinner than that and paying off your credit card debt could take years. This is when you have to consider action.

Start by picking up the phone and talking to your providers. If you’re credit card is from your bank then go there in person and make an appointment to speak to someone about your debt problems. They will be able to advise you and might even offer you a solution you hadn’t thought of. Providers have been known to freeze interest or allow repayment holidays where you don’t have to pay anything for a short period of time. This can help you save up a lump sum to pay off and prove incredibly useful.

If you’ve taken these steps and there is still no clear end in sight then you will have to consider taking more decisive action. Once more, there are a number of things you can do. Balance transfers and consolidation loans are excellent tools that reduce the interest you have to pay, and shave significant amounts off your credit card debt in the process. Ask your bank about these but make sure you do your research before actively seeking one of these solutions.

Credit card debt is growing in the UK by the minute, but this in a way can be beneficial. The reason being that because so many people are in debt, there are more companies offering solutions meaning the market is competitive and so there are deals to be found. Make sure you take your time and find the right one.

By: Thomas Baugh
